CSA Share Notes:
Here’s this week’s Vegetable line-up, in a short and sweet format this week, because I’m holding a baby! (We’ve got a pic for you at the end of the post.)
- Sweet potatoes
- Radish—Daikon, large, crisp, and spicy
- Cabbage—Green Tendersweet
- Tatsoi—A Chinese cabbage closely related to pac choi. Great in curies, fried rice, and stir fry.
- Head Lettuce—Mottistone and Skyphos
- Carrot—Mixed colors
- Purple Top Turnips
Veggie Storage tips:
Sweet potatoes will prefer to stay at room temp. Everything else will keep longest stored in the fridge sealed up in a bag. All root crops should be severed from their tops to keep the roots from getting rubbery. Everything will need a gentle washing before cooking, but leave the dirt on until you’re ready to use them to prevent spoilage.

Jess & Justin
