A taste of what’s to come!
We’re gearing up for the spring CSA season which is right around the corner. Tonight we’re bracing ourselves for a late (record breaking!) frost that’s headed our way. This afternoon before the temperature began to drop we snapped some lovely shots of everything growing. All the field shots you see where taken today, and you can really see the breeze of the cold front moving across the farm in many of the pictures. The greenhouse shots are from the last week of March, and many of the plants you see here have been planted by now. Enjoy a look at the progress and growth we’ve experienced at Red Moon Farm throughout March and April.
Everything is beautiful! I can’t wait to get a hold of some of it. I hope this frost isn’t too biting- I covered up my little sprouts, hoping I don’t have to replant! What nonsense is this, freezing in April? On the night of the eclipse, no less! Good luck to y’all and your plants!
Beautiful pictures. Very tasty looking, too! Our low was 34 on the unprotected north side this morning. I hope the farm made it through this one. It was the last blast of winter.
